Abstract

Autism is a condition with barriers to communication, interaction, behaviour, emotions, and sensory perception. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of early intervention carried out by parents for children with suspected autism based on the high-risk results of the M-Chat/R test conducted on children. This study uses a qualitative method in the form of a case study conducted on subjects who have the same background conditions and similar family circumstances. This research was conducted for two months. The data collection technique used was non-participant observation and interviews. The results showed significant results for the provision of early intervention with parental acceptance of the development of children with autistic tendencies. The environment, especially parents, has a very large role in the follow-up of early intervention and its success. The importance of proper early intervention will run effective if there is consistency in program delivery and good parental acceptance and optimization of the efforts.
